Dear YP Landowners Group supporters
We need your help! This Thursday we will be rallying on the steps of
Parliament House, North Terrace at 12 noon. It is imperative that we have
as many people there to support our cause as possible – we need to send a
clear message to all political parties that our valuable agricultural land
is not to be tampered with.
We will be supporting the Greens Mark Parnell who is attempting to have
amendments made to the Mining Act with the Mining (Royalties and
Miscellaneous) Amendment Bill 2013. In (very short) summary, the Greens
amendments empower farmers and landholders to say no to mining on their land
to a much greater extent.
We do ask that you see this as a pro-farming rally rather than an
anti-mining rally. So come one and all, bring your determination,
enthusiasm and energy and let’s send a clear message to the ivory towers of
North Terrace!!
